Altoona High School Commencement
On the evening of Friday, June 3, the sixteenth annual commencement exercises of the Altoona high school will be held in the Eleventh Avenue opera house. On that occasion, ten bright young students will close their public school career to enter upon the duties of life. For some of them at least, their school days are ended and their real life work is to be commenced. Next Sunday evening Rev. E. D. Weigle will preach the baccalaureate sermon in the First Evangelical Lutheran church and the graduating class, as well as most of the other classes, will be present. The class of '92 has for a motto the significant words, "Per Aspera ad Astra." The class consists of nine young ladies and one young gentleman, as follows: Misses L. May Bradley, Sidney Colestock, Anua Findley, Lizzie H. Kessler, Gertrude B. Lewis, Faith McKerihan, Bertha Oves, Ida M. Raugh, Laura Rickabaugh and Mr. William M. Aukerman.
