Description
This folder contains correspondence from three individuals. Charles Upson Clark’s correspondence discusses the process of identifying specimens in a collection of Staphylininae, a subfamily of rove beetles. Clark also offered to assist the American Entomological Society (AES) with naming beetles sent to them by different individuals.
Frederick Clarkson’s single correspondence is a list of three different specimens that were sent to the AES in a box.
James B. Clemens’s correspondence discusses the work done by Entomological News in writing a biography about his late father, Jacob Brackenridge. Brackenridge was an entomologist who wrote several scientific papers that were entrusted to another entomologist, who attempted to publish them as his own work. The family of Brackenridge was able to regain possession of the papers.
