Title
55. Photo of bust of a man
Description
A photoprint of a clay bust depicting a man in 1800s dress as possibly sculpted by Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins. The subject of this sculpture is unknown, but it is likely either the bust of Charles Waterton as seen in the 1955 book "Letters of Charles Waterton of Walton Hall, Near Wakefield" published by Rockliff or the bust of Baron Alexander von Humboldt as hypothesized by Princeton Natural History Museum curator Dr. Donald Baird.
