Description
This folder holds correspondence primarily from William George Dietz. His correspondence largely discusses his work with Diptera, with two lists of Diptera determined by him. Dietz also exchanged multiple specimens and his descriptions of them with the American Entomological Society (AES).
Lawrence S. Dillon's correspondence contains a paper about a tribe of beetles titled, "Monograph of the Monochamini of the New World," that he authored alongside his wife, Elizabeth S. Dillon. The paper was sent to the AES for publication in May 1940; however, E.T. Cresson, Jr. informed the couple that the paper suffered from incomplete citations of AES materials that were used and a number of spelling errors.
