Description
Glass lantern slide of an illustration of a marine ship borer, called a Teredo. It illustrates how the Teredo tunnels into wood. Reproduced from “Marine Wood-Borers” by Charles H. Snow. (Proceedings of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Vol 24, 1898). No label on slide. Used to illustrate the course "Materials of Engineering Construction" which was taught between 1893-1950 at the Wagner Free Institute of Science.
