Title
Geraldine’s Love’s house
Description
Photo of Geraldine’s Love’s house, just after it was completed. Mr. and Mrs. Wampler are sitting on the steps. The house was built in 1900. The home on the right side of Wampler house is Dan Wesson’s home. Mary and Helen grew up here and they are still living here (as of Jan. 4, 1992). Mary will be 90 years of age in July 1992. Helen will be 86. The house on the edge of the picture is the old “Inman home”. It is one of the very oldest homes in Summerville. I remember when William Burkett’s family lived there. He was one of the village blacksmith’s. The Blacksmith Shop was hidden behind Wampler’s house. He moved to a farm located in Eshbaugh hollow, 2 miles from town. His son Preston was a Penn. State Patrolman, stationed at Roaring Springs Pa. John White -Joe Guthrie – Max McLaughlin -John Anderson lived in this house in order. John Anderson is still living there in Jan 4, 1992.
