Poems of Nature

Many of Mrs. William P. Bradley's
(Laura M.) friends have requested
her to write her experiences at West
Woods, into a volume of Verse,
after twenty years the beautiful small
volume of eighty 'Nature Poems' has
been published by the Exposition
Press in New York City, and h
legion of friends, are gratified. As
teacher of Poetiy, they may now all
follow her lyrics, sonnets, rondeau,
triolet and die new form which Mrs.
I Bradley composed, the Cincrima. Two
poems of this new form are on page
sixty-one of West Woods, "SEASON
FOR REST' and "SCULPTURED
BEAUTY."
The lovely green cover with s
mering moonlight through the huge
trees gives the reader a feeling of
wanting to handle the volume
fully.
Laura Bradley was born in
Louis, Missouri and has composed
poems since girlhood. She studied
literature at Penn State Extension,
and later had private tutelage. She
has been poetry editor of several
publications; also has taught poetry
technique and appreciation.
Mrs. Bradley is a member of th
National League of American Pe
Women where she held the office of
Treasurer of the Pittsburgh Branch
and on the National board for literature. She was president of the Pittsburgh Poetry Society and a U.S.A.
member of the Poetry Society of
Great Britain and America, London,
England.
Having resided for many years in
Sewickley and Coraopolis Heights,
Laura is a member of the Woman's
Club of Sewickley Valley, the Sewickley Music Club, and originated
the Sewickley Poetry Society, which
I organization judges the poems of die

Quaker Valley High School, and
donates awards to the winners everyJ
