Description
‘Miners Concert Band , Pine Hill , Pa’ is painted on a drum . The picture was taken at Power House , Goodtown . The members in the front row were: Ellis Werner , Harry Werner , Joe Werner , Sav . Keld , Jas . Hoffa , and Andy Eckman . They played clarinets , bugles , and cymbals . The members in the back row were: Austin Blubaugh , Robert Shorr , Howard Hoffa , Simon Werner , Allen Smith , Jerry Smith , [unknown] Werner , Bill Werner , Charles Blubaugh , Norman Lichty , and Charles Hoffa . They played tubas , trombones , trumpets , and drums . All were in band hats and dark uniforms with trim on the sleeves and collars . Names were transcribed from a separate sheet . 10 x 8 in. black and white photograph .
