On the late ponti freshet BE Oil Creek one hundred and
eighteen heats came down, c'-.rrying 13,565 fciwels of bulk oil, 600
barrels-ef refined oil, and 6025 of crude oil In barrels, »«*king
a total of 20,100. Th© freshet was unsatisfactory to boatmen and
shippers. Ths lower dams were not cut loose soon enough, thus
letting the main body of water wasta, resulting in a loss of about
a thousand barrels of oil, and quits* a number of boats stuck along
the craek.
