Description
President Harold Hutson adjusts the stole of Pearl Williams-Jones , the recipient of an honorary Doctor of Humanities degree . Mrs . Williams-Jones , who had visited the Lycoming College campus on three other occasions , received the degree November 5 , 1972 at the conclusion of a concert in Clarke Chapel . She is a highly acclaimed musician , lecturer , and educator from Philadelphia . Her concert , entitled 'Worship through Gospel Music ', opened a four-day colloquium on the women's movement . Information comes from the 'Lycoming College Report, ' November/December 1972 .
