The Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA) was organized in 1903. Its first President was Caroline R. Enders. Like the Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) before them, the YWCA sponsored theme parties, dances and lectures. The theme in the photograph, taken in 1914, is the "Old Maids' Convention". In 1935 the YMCA and YWCA merged into the Student Christian Association.
