The funeral of the late Miss Susan E. Hall took place yesterday morning at “Oaklands,” the home of her niece, Mrs. Henry Ashurst, near Hall’s Station. The officiating clergymen were Rev. W. H. Graff and Rev. George Foley, of this city; Rev. John Warwick, of Montoursville, and Rev. A.R. DeWitt, of Muncy. The boy choir of the Church of Our Savior, Montoursville, assisted in the services. The pall bears were Mrssrs. Martin and William Ault, George T. DeWald, Joseph Fulmer, Jacob Baxter and Jacob Reeder, old friends and former Sunday school pupils of the deceased. The concourse of people at the house was very large and nearly 150 carriages were in the cortege to the grave in Halls’ cemetery. The following nieces and nephews of Miss Hall were present at the obsequies: Norman Hall and W. Coleman Hall, of Halls; Henry Rawle and wife, of Fairfield; James Rawle, of Bryn Mawr, Mrs. Granville B. Smith and Miss Lena Smith, of New York; Mrs. Henry Ashurst and William Ashurst, of “Oaklands,” J. Dundas Lippincott, Robert Coleman Hemphill, of Philadelphia; Charles Rawle and Miss Rawle, of Bethlehem; Robert C.H. Brock, of Philadelphia, and William Norris, of Williamsport. There was also a large number of friends from this city.
