Transeau Parent-Teacher Association Pays Tribute To Miss Lila M. Fisher
The Transeau Parent-Teacher Association entertained the teachers of the school at a dinner at the Home Dairy Dining Room recently..
Fifty parents and teachers were present to pay special honor to Miss Lila M. Fisher, who retires at the end of this term.
T. J. Ferguson, principal of Transeau School, presented Miss Fisher with a gift from the Parent-Teacher Association. P. D. Mitchell presented her with a gift from her pupils, former pupils and friends.
Following dinner the group enjoyed the film “Playtown.”
The Sixth Grade of the school was entertained on June 2 at a luncheon at the school, followed by a theater party.
The Safety Patrol Boys will be guests of the Parent-Teacher Association at a baseball game at Bowman Field in the near future.
The last meeting of the Executive Board will be held at the school on Wednesday, June 8, at 2 o’clock. Following the meeting the Sixth Grade Mothers on the board will be honored at a tea.
