DIES AT THE AGE OF 96 YEARS, 4 MONTHS AND 16 DAYS.

Mrs. Catharine Barto, aged 96 years, 4 months and 16 days, died on Tuesday, July 17th, at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Bartlow in Penn Township. Mrs. Barto was one of the oldest persons in the county, and up to the time of her demise was in remarkably good health. Old age is supposed to be the cause of her death. About twenty years ago her husband, Daniel Barto, died. Five children survive her. Mrs. Sarah Day, of Picture Rocks; John G. Barto, Mrs. Anna Forney, Jacob Barto and Mrs. Mary Bartlow, widow of the late Richard Bartlow, all of Penn Township. There are two dead – Samuel and George. The funeral took place Thursday at 1:30 o’clock p.m., interment at the Mt. Zion grave yard.
