Description
Letter sent by William Gustin Lowry (Gus) to his sister Margaret Judson Lowry (Mag) from the headquarters of the second brigade , Morell's division on July 18 , 1862 . Gus is pleased to hear that Jim McBride has been punished for his actions by Dan Conrad . He reports that all the boys from Freeport that his sister knows made it through the fighting [near Mechanicsville?] unharmed . Enclosed with the letter was ten dollars .
