Description
Letter from James Graham to his sister , Elizabeth , camp near Richmond , VA , dated June 23rd , 1865 . He writes to let her know that he is still in Virginia , although he thought that the Regiment would be leaving there soon . He also informs her that his Brigade Inspector , Captain Hawkins of the 10th Connecticut , died from what he believes was alcohol poisoning . He also discusses how warm the weather is in Richmond , and how he is plagued by flies and mosquitos .
