Description
Program of the Indiana County chapter of the GAR's "obituary exercises " for Ulysses S . Grant held on August 8 , 1885 . The program opened with prayer and the reading of scriptures . The exercises also included speeches that discussed the various aspects of Grant's life . One of the speakers , Judge Harry White , spoke about Grant's qualities as a statesman . Each section of the program was accompanied by a song .
