Letter sent by Harry White to his father Judge Thomas White from Harrisburg on January 19, 1865. Harry writes that he has just come to Harrisburg from Baltimore. His purpose in being there was to give a lecture to the legislature. While he was in Baltimore, Harry bought some stock in the Altoona Coal and Lumber Company. He is confident it was a good decision, and says he can double his investment. Harry has been promoted to colonel and is preparing to go back to the war. |
