BOARD OP TRUSTEES
THE PRESIDENT,
CAKNEGIE LIBRARY OP PITTSBURGH.
CARNEGIE BUILDING.
PITTSBURGH, PA., March 1st, 1900.
(Copy)
My dear Mrs. Anderson:-
It affords me a great deal of pleasure to be
the bearer of the enclosed Christinas gift to you from Mr. Carnegie, which although somewhat belated, I feel sure will be none the less acceptable on that account. As on additional incentive for the remembrance* you may possibly detect a note of sincere appreciation of the conscientious, intelligent and very successful work done by your husband in connection with the administration of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, in which sentiment I trust I may be allowed to join.
Very sincerely yours,
A similar letter was sent to Mrs. J. W. Beatty.
