were in attendance the meeting wan railed to order by howard tarrett president and secretary tacv l paxson read the minutes of the pre vious meeting which were approved newton e wood of the crop com mittee baid tho wheat needed rain very badly and he feared the timothy seed had not taken well isaac parry said the timothy in hl wheat held had come up very thickly anna m ilallowell of the domestic economy committeu gave a recipe for making a dessert from stale niead crumbs phe also raid that the house keepers should try to save their health ami strength as well as to economise in food and manner of living henrietta kinsey asked the member why cold catsup ehould soinetiineh spoil an hers did this season some thought it was the fault of the tomatoes not being solid others that the vinegar was not good although the experimental committee has been discontinued for the present william j hallowell was requested to give the result of his experiment in raising potatoes where crimson clover had been turned under he said that his potatoes had only cost him eight cents per bushel for fertilizer where the crimson clover had been and he consid ered that this is the most economical wav announced as this was the first time the club had met at the new home of the kin beys much admiration was expressed for their pleasant and convenient house and a very delightful evening was spent the enjoyment of which was much enhanced by the beautiful play ing and singing of mrs john larzelere of willow grove jury af atnst hoors the jury in the trial of a h moore against joseph sinnot and the fidelity trust company of philadelphia execu tors of andrew m.moore.came to a con clusion thursday morning when a ver dict for defendants was given the cane had been on trial eight days before judge swartz the jury retired to de liberate wednesday evening and in order to afford the jurors an o pportun ity in the event of arriving at a verdict to spend thanksgiving at their homes judge swart considerately waited in the law library until 10 o'clock that evening before adjourning court for the day there being uo prospect of an agree ment then adjournment followed at 11.30 the jurors agreed and brought in a sealed verdict thursday morning in thia suit the plaintiff who is wor lying along in life on a miserable 1 ooo ii year allowance sought to recover damages approaching half a million
