It is expected that they will he traveling incognito and that no official entertainments will be given to them. The trouble at the Barnum colliery over a change made in the scales liHll continues and so far there is no s.ign of a settlement. The committee sent by the employes to confer with Captain \V. A. May, general manager of the Pennsylvania Coal Co., yesterday, consisted of the following: Hon. E. J. Burke, John Corcoran, Michael McDonnell, Anthony Uolden, Hubert Dolphin, Richard Walsh, ,lor-eph PeEoski and T. McManu.s. The conimftteo had a conference with Mr. May, who listened to their request that the tm'ployes be permitted to have an expert make a closer examination of the scales and to run light cars over them in order to make a more thorough test. After talking the matter over with them Mr. May said he Would hold the matter under advisement and would notify the committee when he had reacliecj *» decision. He says the results of the battle had not been ascertained at Tokio.
