A division of General Nogal's troops which gained the table land from Louise bay und several of the cruiser fleet participated. The war board in its bulletin does not announce the precise success achieved by the army nor does it say what positions were won during the morning's lighting. It Is surmised by military men who have been watching the operations as bulletined from Port Arthur that the Japanese must have captured a range of plateaus northwest of the fortress, the highest point of which is known as Table hill. Lisbon, Aug. 9.—A slight earthquake shock was felt, here yesterday evening- No damage was done. Just four persons escaped with their lives from the fury of the torrent. A few doses of it will undoubtedly relieve your cough or coia, and it continued use for a few days will cure you completely.
