Five evenings, beginning next Tuesday, the affair will be the central attraction for all* and Saturday afternoon as Well. And on Saturday we'll all turn out to give a hospitable welcome to the forty or fifty fire companies with their gleaming apparatus which are to come as cur guests from all over Western Pennsylvania and form a parade well worth seeing. Stores up and down the street will be decorated and made especially attractive in honor of this midsummer madness, and it will be home-coming week for many of the loyal former residents of the Valley who like to come back for a brief visit on such an occasion. Everybody wishes the Legion boys well in their enterprise, and all will enter with a right good will in helping the fun along. Band concerts by the Sewickley American Legion Band will be given on Broad street on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday evenings; the band will also be in line in the firemen's parade Nine silver cups are to be given as prizes for the visiting fire companies. They can be seen in Campney's window this week. There is one for the company having the largest number of men in line; one for the one coming the greatest distance; One for the best equipped hook and ladder truck, heavy duty size; one for the best heavy duty combination truck; best equipped light duty hook and ladder; best equipped light duty combination truck; best appearing band; and best appearing drum corps. The new building, which is to bc fixed up and adapted to the Legion's use immediately, is admirably suited to the purpose. It is the former Dickinson school building, almost opposite the Dorian Club, which has been of no use to the Sewickley Academy since it moved into its present quarters in Edgeworth, and which has now been conveyed to the Legion on easy terms. Its large rooms and pleasant surroundings make it ideally suited to the Post's needs, and the organization and the community as Well are gratified to have the Post located in a builidng worthy of it and of the town. iy . »■ y
