ww-sa^f"** HALLOWE'EN COME OUT, come out, all yc good citizens of Sewickiey and the Valley, next Tuesday evening, and join in the best Hallowe'en celebration Sewickloy oyor had I Come out, boys and girls, m the best and funniest costumes you and your paronts can think up and fix.up for tho occasion I Gome out, you oldor folk whoso spirits aro still young- forget Depression and NBA problems, and join tho fun for that ono ovomng. Everybody will bo there, and the morry contact with your neighbors and frionds will do you moro good than anything clso you can do. Bo thankful you'vo got so many friondly neighbors, and that Sowickloy is a placo whoro they can all bo jolly together. Jimmy Gray says he's all ready, and he's beon planning and working on it for months. Ho's had good cooperation, too; tho morchants of tho town havo givon him thoir trucks to float his wonderful tableaux and living pictures, moro elaborate than ovor boforo; and thoy'vo givon somo nico prizes to bo awarded the marchers, too. Cleopatra— —The Old Mill—the Dairy Maids- Washington Crossing the Delaware—oh, wc don't know what all tho floats will be; but they'll be worth seeing. The parade will start at 8:15 at tho Methodist Church corner. Mr. Gray directs that tho First Division, including tho King and Queen of the Carnival (James Graham and Kathrino Band) and their escort, will form on Thorn Street wost of Broad, tho children, masked or not, first assembling in tho playground of tho Grado School, near Chestnut Street. Tho Second Division, headed by the Century of Progross float and including all tho othor floats, forms on Broad Street at tho Library, heading toward Thorn Stroot. Tho Third Division, tho decorated automobiles, form on the wost sido of Broad Street, next tho Methodist Church, bonding toward Thorn Street. Tho parade will movo at 8:15, marching up Broad Street to Beaver, eastward to Chestnut, countermarch wost on Beaver to Walnut, down to Thorn, up Broad again, again to Chestnut, countermarching a second timo back to Walnut, to Thorn, to Broad, then a third time up Broad Street, to dismiss at Centennial Avenue. As last year, there will be two judges' stands, ono on Broad Street, the other on Beaver Stroot at Locust Place. In tho first stand the judges will be: J. C. Chaplin, W. W. Cunningham, Paul H. Ingram, C. D. Drynan, Thomas Taylor, H. K, Campney, A. II. Diehl, E. D. Eitehey, 0. S. Biehardson, D. A. Challis, W. G. Davis, F. E. Fiekinger, G. A. Hays, J. D. C. Miller. In tho other stand will be: D. L. Swcnringon, W. C. Miller, Abram Stanley, Alex, Davidson, Charles A. Woods, Stanley Q. Fowler, A. C, Walk or, John Houston, B. B. Kuhn, Fred J. McMillen, Frank A. Hegner and M. S. Cornman. Tho marchers are asked to look straight ahead when passing tho stands, so tho judges can see the numbers on their backs. The numbers can bo had at C. B. Schlumpf's or S. Krepley's storo. After the parade, the Westinghouse. Band will play on tho Broad Street stand, and will also stage a complete minstrel show. They woro ready to do this last year, but tho weather pro- vented. There will be other attractions, but there's no need to say just what they will be—leave it to "Jimmy" to givo you a good entertainment I The finance committee, consisting of Mr. Gray, W. G. Davis and Abram Stanley, havo sent out no letters this year, but have arranged for everybody to bo called on the telephone or at tho door; some money has been received, but moro is needed; and it is asked that somo contribution, no matter how small, bo given by everyone who believes this evening of fun for the children is a good thing for Sewickloy. It doesn't take a great deal of money to finance it, but it does require some— and Mr. Gray should not bo allowed to bear any part of the. expense in addition to all his hard work in making tho celebration possible. Everyone help!
