In addition to the garden-product exhibits, there will be outdoor entertainment features in the afternoon, and an indoor program in the evening, including an auetion of many of tlie prize exhibits. Crowning of tlie "Queen of the Festival" will be a feature; and several names of contestants for this honor were reported to the committee. It was decided, however,, to leave the way open for further nominations until next Monday, August 16th, and for the convenience of those desiring to make such nominations, the blank good for a start of 500 votes is reprinted in this eolumn. It should be filled out and mailed to the Herald office. Names proposed at the committee meeting were: Mrs. Sherman Erb (president of the Newcomers Club), Mrs. Robert C. Wright; Miss Shirley Malone (placed in nomination by tlie Board of Trade); Miss Mary S. Maruca, Miss Sue Clark, Miss Camille Macaluso, Miss Jean Neely and Miss Mary Lois Lu- zadre. Under tlie chairmanship of Mrs. Edward Ellerton, with Mrs. Dallas S. Irvine co-chairman, more than lift}* women are arranging the concessions for the sale of things to eat and things to amuse. Mrs. Daniel E. Davis of Osborne and Mrs. Norma G. Vincent of Edge- worth are assisting in securing and planning these features; chairmen of the several booths so far arranged are: Candy, Mrs. Stanley McPherson; iee cream and soft drinks, Mrs. Reynolds Ritchey, with Girl Scouts as aides; baked goods, Mrs. J". W. Cameron; hot dogs, Ralph 0. Wright j variety booth, Mrs. John Nash and Mrs. George Mc- Oracken; fruit ami vegetable stand, Mrs. Albert Buckley. Pony rides will be in ehargo of Miss Katherine Leathen and Miss June Hogan; and Mrs. S. C. Mahood wil preside over the fish pond booth. All booths aro to bo elaborately decorated. The committee on flowers and arrangements o'f exhibits consists of Mrs. James H. Childs, Jr., Mrs. W. W. Bureh, Miss Mary I/ouiso Davison, and Thom__ Hosking. Mrs. John O. Hiteshew lias charge of Canned Goods exhibits, and. Mrs. Dale Park of Baked Goods displays. Entry blanks, schedules and the' rules' governing exhibits aro being mailed to all Victory gardeners of tho Valley this week. Additional blanks and bulle* tins will bo available at a numoer of Village stores and at the two Sewickley banks. The clerk in charge of filing' entries is Ian Harris. All classes in the schedule are open to the residents of the Aralley and near*by communities; all kinds of gardens will" be included, and exhibits will be of vegetables, fruit and flowers grown in that area; also exhibits of canned and baked goods.
