treehouse
slated to
comedown

A tree house in Leet that
made national news this
year is planned to come
down at the end of the
month, as part of an agreement between homeowners and township leaders.
Elise Truchan, 14, said
she is sad to lose her two-
level treehouse, an eighth-
grade class project she
completed in February.
"I'm very disappointed
that it has to come down,
but I guess there's nothing
to do about it," said Elise,
who now is in ninth grade.
The treehouse has to be
down by midnight Dec. 31.
That morning at 10 a.m..
the Truchan family will
hold a farewell party and
invite supporters to stop
by for hot chocolate and
