Letter sent by Harry White to Titian J . Coffey from Richland Jail in Columbia , South Carolina on June 28 , 1864 . Harry writes that he is very depressed from being in prison for so long , but he is managing to not give in to his sadness . He notes that he has been moved to many different jails over the course of his imprisonment , and that he will soon be moving to a new prison in Macon , Georgia . Harry asks Coffey to take care of his parents . He worries that they are having a hard time now that both he and his brother Richard are prisoners of war .
