A, meeting of the Gwynedd Valloy Keniiel club was held at Hotel Wynd¬ ham, Ambler, last Thursdai? evening with President Joseph A. '-liuclianan in the fhain On a^feembling the members the pr'esldent stated that he had Issued the call Tor a meeting, pursuant to the bylaws of the organi¬ zation, for the noniination of officers, which must be made at least 20 days prior to the annual meeting, a call (leaving previously been Issued for the i-nrpose. In the absence of the secretary,- George Brook, wlio Is now located at Hewlett. B. I., and who was unavoid¬ ably prevented from attending- the: meeting, Howard J. Dager-acted as secretary pro tem.-and read the mln'¬ utes of the meeting held on Jan. 20. A motion was made, pursuant to the bylaws, notice of the -Jm'pose of the meeting Imvlng previously been^ sent to the members, nomlTiating the following officers, same to be balloted' for at the anniial meeting- on April 5: President, Joseph A. Buchanan; first vice president, Howard J. Dager;, second vice president, Edward Trot¬ ter Price; third vice president, Ed ward i IngersoU; secretary, Georgo Brock; treasurer, William J. Several suggestions were made as to tho most effective means of securing the niuch-deslred large attendance, it is not unlikely, however, that a lunch will be provided for at this meeting, the full arrangements of which were left in the hands of President Buch¬ anan. Several letters were read on mat¬ ters pertaining to the club business. The iiieiiibersbip fee id $10 allows the cliib to hold one licensed show per. year and affords other shows to be held for the lleense fee of $6. The proposed show of the Gwynedd Valley Kennel elub on Aug. 26 in the Ambler ball park will be held under the membership license in the -American Kennel club—the tirst of Its kind to be held In Ambler, which guarantees a large entry list of dogs and an Interest and turnout of members second only to the A. K. C. shows in the great cities. One new member was proposed to the club and the president distributed several application blanks, stating that $10 in gold has been promised to the member, who between now and the annual meeting In April, 1912, will " ortug the greatest numb~¥..^r.f new membei-s fo 'the local club. After an informal discussion for the good of the local organization, the club ad¬ journed until the annual meeting on April 5, which will be held at Ilotel Wyndham, Ambler. SURFACE AT JARRETTOWN.
