lanadale-noitistown trolley line tlie work nn the trolley line from lanedale to norristown is making pro hresb but gome 10 days or two weeks of valuable time was lost in waiting for ties or bills at the beginning of the present week tracklaying had been nil completed between hansdale and near the state road at franklinville with the exception of the few yards over the stony creek steam r al near acorn no attempt has been tumle to build the overhead bridge here but all the ap proaches have been constructed the situation here is this the reading rail road is pursuing its usual policy of ob struction as long as possible good legal authority says that it cannot prevent the bridge but that this is the sole and only feasible point between lansdale ancf norristown where it ia ponsible to get across the eteain line even at the worst there are two wa>s for the trolley company to get ahead of its enemy the present road bridge is entirely owned by the reading company it is much to narrow for the passage of teams if so minded the supervisors of whitpain i an force the reading to build another and in so doing compel that corporation to allow the passage of the trolley over the new and wider one then also the trolley company can get power from norrifitown to bring its cars to the bridge on one side and from west point to the other side this would leave the passengers but a few yards to walk the grading is all completed up to about 400 yards of centre square it if along the west side of tbe wagon road and on the bank from thence to the village it will be made along one side of the road the iron rails are distri buted all the way to centre square and bevond there is a bhort cut made through the fields west of franklin ville leaving the people of that hamlet some 350 yards from the line of the track 1 h'i'i was owing to the refusal of the present owner of the former singer ly place a city gentleman to allow the passage of the line past his premises orelhutl the sale of
