Boys of Fort Washington Legionnaires Seek Instruments for New Unit Sons ot the American Degi-in Siiuadron No. 10, vif the William Roult'jn Di.xon Post, Fort Washlng- ton^ will organize a band for the boys. It has been found iKissible to have Mr. K. H. Rynear, Jr., W. P. A. Muaic Instructor, of Anibler, under his mu.sic educational plan by Federal Aid, instruct the boys and give them .a very good foundation in music, which vVill help the Uiys, In theit high sehool work and to those vviho go to college, it will greatly assiat them through ife. At the same time they will be t.aught any band instrument tliey choose, as long as a harmonious bal¬ ance ia carried that band music can be rendered. The need of instruments Is '.me of the problems that hangs heavy on the hands of the committee in charge. It has been leoi'ned that in nimny homes in the Wiliiteniarsh Valley, Ktore.i in attics are infitruments that have not been used in many years and may never be u.sed again by the owner. These instruments in the hands of the committee would sive some boy a chance t.i get a musical education. At the samo time It will give tl the community a band of youth that will grow into manhood under the guidance" of an influence of music which always buil3« tho typo of hoys that any community can lie jirjud of. The <iiminiitee feel that the citi¬ zens of the Whilemarah Vallej- will welcome such an activity and that they will cooperate and help to make it a success. Those who would 6onate !in instrument to the band are re- i|ue«ted to read tho advertisement on page 3. ,1 CO. 10 RECORD ALL Fi CALLS AMBLER UNIT HOLDS REGULAR BUSINESS SESSION Repairs Ordered For Cells in Lock-up —.Will Check Equipment Hereafter —Four Calls Last Mon'ih — Dona¬ tions, Amounting to |32 Received.
