Tho Pennfeylvania "Uniform Auto¬ mobile Liability Security Act" which was enacted at the last HCssion of the Stato Legislature and becomes efTectlve on January 1st, 1934, ¦will doubtless prove doubly beneficial, declared' I. The act provides that any motorist Who fails to satisfy, within 15 days, any final judgment which is the outcome of an automobile accident causing the Injui-y or death of any person or pro¬ perty damage in excess of $2ftO will forfeit his right to drive or register anV motor vehicle. For the purposes of this law, a judg¬ ment shall be considered satisfied If <6,000 is paid in the caso of one per¬ son injured, $10,000 in the case of morfi than one person injured (subject to the limit of f5,000 per person) or $l,CeO in the case of material damage to the property of others whenever a judgment shall be In excess of these respective amounts. Tho Pennfeylvania "Uniform Auto¬ mobile Liability Security Act" which was enacted at the last HCssion of the Stato Legislature and becomes efTectlve on January 1st, 1934, ¦will doubtless prove doubly beneficial, declared' I. K. B. Hansen, insurance agent of Ambler, in a recent interview. He briefly outlined the prtn'cipal provis¬ ions of thB law and explained how it will be a factor foi justice and safety.
The act provides that any motorist Who fails to satisfy, within 15 days, any final judgment which is the outcome of an automobile accident causing the Injui-y or death of any person or pro¬ perty damage in excess of $2ftO will forfeit his right to drive or register anV motor vehicle.
For the purposes of this law, a judg¬ ment shall be considered satisfied If <6,000 is paid in the caso of one per¬ son injured, $10,000 in the case of morfi than one person injured (subject to the limit of f5,000 per person) or $l,CeO in the case of material damage to the property of others whenever a judgment shall be In excess of these respective amounts.
