Expecting Monday to prove th e peak day for th e yule mailinigs, Postmaster Pfautz announced th a t windows both for the sa le of stamps and for mailing parcel post packages will be open dally from now until Christmas from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., including this Saturday. The postofflce lobby also will be open Sunday for the convenience of holders of boxes. Deltv-aries also wil be made on Sunday. The re tu rn of college and se rvice men also will mean th a t the postofflce staff will be augmented over th is week-end and th a t th e number of town deliveries will be increased to two and three a day until Christmas. Last yea r’s record volume of mail included approximately 500,000 pieces of first-class mall posted here. This figure will he bettered by a considerable amount th is year, Mr. P fa u ts predicted. OUR FUTURE CITIZENS Urges Amish Parents To Obey School Laws With Lititz gaining widespread attention as the cu rren t focal point of a rre sts of plain parents who refuse to obey th e compulsory school attendance laws, local directors th is week were given the moral support of a prominent Amish Bishop, Jacob J. Bishop Jacob J. Hershberger of the Beachy Amish Mennonite Conference has called upon members of Amish communities throughout the United States to obey compulsory school laws and draft regulations. Schools Of District Will Present Unusual Christmas Programs, Plays Next Week Unusually Interesting Christmas programs will be presented next week by all of the schools included in the Warwick Union School District, Supervising Prncipal Marlin Spaid announced yesterday. The program in Lititz High School will be presented in the auditorium on Thursday morning, December 23, and will begin with choral reading by the Senior Girls. L ititz High School The Glee Club will present two numbers: “Coventry Carol” , and “A Very Merry Christmas.” John Newcomer and Henry Steiner will give a trump e t duet, “O Holy Night.” Linda Burk h art will sing “Gesu Bambino.” A vocal trio consisting of Virginia Gearhart, E tta Je an Her-shey and Mary Lynn Reidenbach will sing “Silent Night” . St. Paul’s Christmas Musical This Sunday Evening His appeal was published in the Sugarcreek (Ohio) Budget, national Amish newspaper. “We are sorry to hear of so many Amish people in the news lately, especially when such news is about conflict with the law,” Bishop Hershberger said. “Why should anyone refuse to buy license plates fo r a buggy in those sta te s where it is required?” What law of conscience or religion Is here violated? We buy hunting, fishing, and marriage licenses, do we not? “Why should we not cooperate with d ra ft laws, especially where provision is made for the conscientious objector to war? “Why should th e re be so many arre sts for refusing to send our children to school, especially when th e laws of our nation g rant us the rig h t to have our own schools, hire our own teachers, even teach th a t which is of our own choosing? ■ “We should th an k God for a nation th a t still respects the conscience of a minority,” Bishop Hershberger declared, urging th a t the Amish change th e ir tactics of resistane to those of cooperation with law officers. The Amish bishap counseled th a t should any law conflict with the word of God, “ the tru e Christian will in a humble man- ’ ner request to be excused from following th a t p articu la r law.” Committee Spent $1,404 In Behalf Of Auto Victims A to ta l of $1,404.07 has been expended In behalf of the four high school students Injured in an auto accident la st Spring, members of th e fund committee, announced th is week. The fund has an unexpended balance of $13.90. Funds donated by the public were spent for medical tre a tment, equipment, supplies and hospital tre a tm en t and supplemented hospitalization and oth-r insurance which partially covered th ree of the students. Money from th e fund included $632.22 in behalf of Donald Ringer: $216 for Jo h n Ringer; $433.40 for Richard Kreider; and $122.45 for Robert Miller. Members of the committee included Mrs. John Hershey, Thomas Dussinger, Ross Houseal and Marlin Spaid. Trucks Damaged In Crash Here Jail Parents Re-Arrested By School Bd. Re-arrested for the th ird time, two local farmers, both members of plain sects, went to ja il for five-day terms Tuesday night ra th e r than pay fines for failing to send th e ir children to school. But as another ch ap te r in the local controversy, which is not new in the country, was written here, everybody involved seemed mighty unhappy about the tu rn of affairs — excepting, possibly the two who were headed for cells. “This whole thing is nothing b u t a headache for me b u t 1 have no a lternative other th an to see th a t the sta te compulsory a ttendance laws a re obeyed,” Supervising Principal Marlin Spaid, who preferred th e charges, asserted. “And going to ja il won’t set-tie anything, fo r if they persist In refusing to send th e ir children to school, they will merely be re-arrested again and again,” he continued. Levi S. Glick, Lititz RD1, an ATnishman, and Harold B. Zimmerman, Lititz RD4, a, Mennonite, appeared less disturbed over the prospects of ja il cells than did Mr. Spaid. Both refused to plead guilty despite th a t Zimmerman openly declared he had no intention of sending his son to school. The postofflce truck and a local bread truck both were damaged in a collision a t Main and Cedar Streets a t 6:30 a.m. Monday. With both drivers claiming they had th e green light, Chief of Police Clarence Kreider was continuing his investigation with prospects th a t one of the two drivers will face reckless driving charges. Recording to Chief Kreider, J. Richard Pfautz, th is borough, driver of the postofflce truck, was proceeding south on Cedar Street while Clarence Dietrich, of Denver, driver for th e Rohrer Baking Compand, was driving west On Main Street. TURDAY Turkeys and geese will be the prizes a t a shooting match to be held a t the Penryn F ire Company grounds th is Saturday. Shells for 12 and 16 gauge guns will be furnished on the grounds. Yule Party Held Monday With a gay holiday sp irit In the air, approximately 150 members and guests of the Lititz Woman’s Club held th e ir Christmas meeting in the General Sutte r Hotel on Monday evening. Dr.' H. K. Cooper, head of the Lancaster Cleft' P a la te Clinic, spoke on the subject, “All’s Right in the World.” He reminded th e group th a t th is season particularly, we receive what we put into the celebration. I t is the spirit with which we give th a t conveys th e tru e feeling of th e Holy season. He closed with the hope th a t “we will not merely celebrate Christmas, but keep it down deep within us, le t it do something for us, th en all will be rig h t with th e world.” Benjamin Brookmyer Ben Br’kmyer Will Observe 96th Birthday Local Man Knew Buchanan ; Recalls Burning Of Columbia Bridge Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Trout-' man entertained a t th e ir home on Sunday in honor of Mrs. Troutman’s fath e r, Benjamin Brookmyer, who will observe his 96th birthday anniversary on Monday, Dec. 20. Mr. Brookmyer was bora in 1858 on land adjacent to Wheat-land and as a boy knew the late James Buchanan intimately. He recalls taking walks with him, spending much time with the gardener, and sleeping in the mansion house. He also remembers the burning of the Columbia bridge during the Civil War when it was destroyed to prevent the Rebels from invading the North. Also the men and crying women driving th e ir cattle toward Lancaster to find safety from th e Invading army. Mr. Brookmyer distinctly remembers the funeral cortege >f the late president, the large and ornate carriages, and the people standing on th e sidewalks from his home to the cemetery. He has always been interested in the presidents, having heard Benjamin Harrison speak while visiting his brother in Goshen, Did. He also met Rutherford Hayes and heard Theodore Roosevelt speak when he was in Lancaster. Allen Pawling Trinity Yule Party On Monday The annual Christmas Party of the Sunday School of Trinity E. C. Church will be held in the church social rooms on Monday evening a t 6:30 o’clock. Eugene S. Dechert will be the master of ceremonies of the program which will consist of songs, recitations and gifts which will be presented to each member of the-Sunday School. A fe a tu re of the program will be a chalk ta lk with humorous sketches, entitled, “What the F ir Teaches Us” , by J. Allen Pawling, of Kutztown, Pa. Mr. Pawling is associate professor of Art Education a t State Teachers College in Kutztown and has been active in Sunday School work both as te a ch e r and superintendent for twenty-five years. Refreshments will be served. The committee consists of Eugene S. Dechert. Robert R. Buch and Raymond S. Reedy. Girl Scouts To Sing Carols Local troops of Girl Scouts and Brownies will to u r th e borough carolling on Christmas Eve a t 7 o’clock. Each troop will meet a t its own designated place and will visit shut-ins and invalids as well. At 8 p.m., all troops will meet in the Square for a combined carol sing, a fte r which they will go to th e Center for hot chocola te and cookies. Nullify All Boosts Made By Musser In Warwick Township A sweeping equalization of all property assessments in Lititz Borough, Warwick and Elizabeth Townships, will be made in the near future, according to an an- | j nouncement made yesterday by Miriam Metzler, chief county assessor, from h er office in the Lancaster County Court House. And — Mrs. Metzler also revealed — those recent assessment boosts In Warwick Township which caused the march o f indignant property owners on the county commissioners’ office, will i be nullified. “The trouble arose in Warwick Township when one assessor tried to do something which must come about concurrently In the entire school d istric t,” Mrs. Metzler asserted. “We are planning to call together the four assessors in the Warwick Union District arid to hold a series of conferences between them, the members of borough council in Lititz and th e Warwick Union School Board. “We realize we have a serious problem and I, personally, appreciate th e manner in which The Record-Express has stated and explained the facts regarding assessments to its readers,” Mrs. Metzler added. Announcement th a t the recent boosts in assessments will be put aside and the former assessment figure used for 19 §5 will be made ' this week in le tte rs to be mailed by the Warwick Township assessor, E a rl C. Musser, of Rothsville. Letters which Mrs. Metzler prepared for Musser read as follows: “ I was requested to notify you th a t the assessment changes made prior to the November 19th appeal day for Warwick Township are not to be used for 1955. “This recommendation came a fte r it was suggested th a t a revision of ALL Warwick Union District Assessments will pos-sobly be made in th e nea r future. “Therefore your assessment for 1955 will be . . Very tru ly youra, E arl C. Musser, assessor.” Mrs. Metzler also revealed th a t there is no need for a meeting ofthe protesting property owners, as a resu lt of th is action, and th a t th e ir objections will be met by th e plans for the thorough re-assessment program being planned. MRS. JACOB CONRAD DIES AFTER YEAR’S ILLNESS Mrs. Mary K. Conrad, 77, wife of tax collector Jacob G. Conrad, of Rothsville, died a t 8:30 a.m. yesterday a t the E p h ra ta Community Hospital a fte r a year’s illness. Born in Warwick Twp., she was a daughter* of th e late William and Susan Seachrist Gass and a member of the Rothsville Evangelical Congregational Church, the Ladies’ Bible Class of the church, and the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the Rothsville Fire Co. She was a resident of Rothsville for th e past 59 years. In addition to h e r husband, she is survived by these sons and daughters: Mrs. Elsie Adams, Lancaster: Susan, wife of Harold B. Brubaker, Hershey: Robe rt G. and Henry J. Conrad, and Charlotte E., wife of Charles M. I^eavb.r, rill of Rothsville; and > Robert Girvln. Wilmer G. Conrad, of Norris-town RD2. Ten grandchildren and a brother, Clinton S. Gass, Zion Home, also survive. Services will be held in Rothsville Evangelical Congregational Church a t 2 p.m. Saturday, with interment in th e Rothsville L uthe ran Cemetery. Yule Urograms At Moravian Church Listed In the morning service a t the Moravian Church, the Advent Liturgy will be prayed and the pastor’s message will be on the subject:' “ Peace With God.” The Senior Choir will sing two anthems, “Nazareth” , by Gounod, and “There Were Shepherds” , by Vincent. At 2:30 p.m., the children's Christmas program will be presented in Fellowship Hall. Songs and recitations will be presented by th e Beginners’ Department, under the direction of Mrs. B. John Losensky. A play, depicting the Christmas Story will be presented by the Primary Department, under the direction of Mrs. Children’s Christmas Party To Be Held December 24 The Children’s Christmas P a rty, sponsored by th e Lititz Fire Company, will be held on F riday, December 24. Santa will go to th e Neffsville Home Orphanage, from th e re to the Zion’s Home between 10 and 11 a.m., a fte r which he will tour th e town, re tu rn in g to th e Lititz Theatre a t 12:45 where he will greet th e kiddies. F re e movies a t 1 o’clock. During th e movie Santa will go to th e Moravian Home and from th e re to the Firehouse to await the kiddies re tu rn in g from th e movies. Santa will only be a t the firehouse- until 5 o’clock th is year. Kiddies are asked to go to the crossings to cross th e streets as th e re will be someone there to direct traffic. Kiddles are also asked to go to th e movies and a fte r th e movies follow th e crowd to the firehouse. Student Council To Sponsor Dance The Lititz High School Student Council will sponsor a semi-formal dance, to be called “White Christmas,” on December 23, from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m., a t the high school gymnasium. The price of admission is 60c per person. Included in th e price of ad-mission is an evening of music furnished by Tiny Wright and his orchestra, and a floor show presented by the students. Refreshments will be on sale. This dance is a homecoming affair, honoring al graduating seniors of 1954. Everyone, especially the seniors, is cordially invited to attend. MARRIED COUPLES PARTY The Married Couples Class, of St. P au l’s Lutheran Church, will hold its Christmas party, Saturday a t 6 p.m. In the Church Social Room. Expecting Monday to prove th e peak day for th e yule mailinigs, Postmaster Pfautz announced th a t windows both for the sa le of stamps and for mailing parcel post packages will be open dally from now until Christmas from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., including this Saturday. The postofflce lobby also will be open Sunday for the convenience of holders of boxes. Deltv-aries also wil be made on Sunday. The re tu rn of college and se rvice men also will mean th a t the postofflce staff will be augmented over th is week-end and th a t th e number of town deliveries will be increased to two and three a day until Christmas. OUR FUTURE CITIZENS Urges Amish Parents To Obey School Laws With Lititz gaining widespread attention as the cu rren t focal point of a rre sts of plain parents who refuse to obey th e compulsory school attendance laws, local directors th is week were given the moral support of a prominent Amish Bishop, Jacob J. Schools Of District Will Present Unusual Christmas Programs, Plays Next Week Unusually Interesting Christmas programs will be presented next week by all of the schools included in the Warwick Union School District, Supervising Prncipal Marlin Spaid announced yesterday. The program in Lititz High School will be presented in the auditorium on Thursday morning, December 23, and will begin with choral reading by the Senior Girls. L ititz High School The Glee Club will present two numbers: “Coventry Carol” , and “A Very Merry Christmas.” John Newcomer and Henry Steiner will give a trump e t duet, “O Holy Night.” Linda Burk h art will sing “Gesu Bambino.” A vocal trio consisting of Virginia Gearhart, E tta Je an Her-shey and Mary Lynn Reidenbach will sing “Silent Night” . St. Paul’s Christmas Musical This Sunday Evening His appeal was published in the Sugarcreek (Ohio) Budget, national Amish newspaper. “We are sorry to hear of so many Amish people in the news lately, especially when such news is about conflict with the law,” Bishop Hershberger said. “Why should anyone refuse to buy license plates fo r a buggy in those sta te s where it is required?” What law of conscience or religion Is here violated? We buy hunting, fishing, and marriage licenses, do we not? “Why should we not cooperate with d ra ft laws, especially where provision is made for the conscientious objector to war? “Why should th e re be so many arre sts for refusing to send our children to school, especially when th e laws of our nation g rant us the rig h t to have our own schools, hire our own teachers, even teach th a t which is of our own choosing? ■ “We should th an k God for a nation th a t still respects the conscience of a minority,” Bishop Hershberger declared, urging th a t the Amish change th e ir tactics of resistane to those of cooperation with law officers. The Amish bishap counseled th a t should any law conflict with the word of God, “ the tru e Christian will in a humble man- ’ ner request to be excused from following th a t p articu la r law.” Committee Spent $1,404 In Behalf Of Auto Victims A to ta l of $1,404.07 has been expended In behalf of the four high school students Injured in an auto accident la st Spring, members of th e fund committee, announced th is week. The fund has an unexpended balance of $13.90. Funds donated by the public were spent for medical tre a tment, equipment, supplies and hospital tre a tm en t and supplemented hospitalization and oth-r insurance which partially covered th ree of the students. Money from th e fund included $632.22 in behalf of Donald Ringer: $216 for Jo h n Ringer; $433.40 for Richard Kreider; and $122.45 for Robert Miller. Members of the committee included Mrs. John Hershey, Thomas Dussinger, Ross Houseal and Marlin Spaid. Trucks Damaged In Crash Here Jail Parents Re-Arrested By School Bd. Re-arrested for the th ird time, two local farmers, both members of plain sects, went to ja il for five-day terms Tuesday night ra th e r than pay fines for failing to send th e ir children to school. But as another ch ap te r in the local controversy, which is not new in the country, was written here, everybody involved seemed mighty unhappy about the tu rn of affairs — excepting, possibly the two who were headed for cells. “This whole thing is nothing b u t a headache for me b u t 1 have no a lternative other th an to see th a t the sta te compulsory a ttendance laws a re obeyed,” Supervising Principal Marlin Spaid, who preferred th e charges, asserted. “And going to ja il won’t set-tie anything, fo r if they persist In refusing to send th e ir children to school, they will merely be re-arrested again and again,” he continued. Levi S. Glick, Lititz RD1, an ATnishman, and Harold B. Zimmerman, Lititz RD4, a, Mennonite, appeared less disturbed over the prospects of ja il cells than did Mr. Spaid. Both refused to plead guilty despite th a t Zimmerman openly declared he had no intention of sending his son to school. The postofflce truck and a local bread truck both were damaged in a collision a t Main and Cedar Streets a t 6:30 a.m. Monday. With both drivers claiming they had th e green light, Chief of Police Clarence Kreider was continuing his investigation with prospects th a t one of the two drivers will face reckless driving charges. Recording to Chief Kreider, J. Richard Pfautz, th is borough, driver of the postofflce truck, was proceeding south on Cedar Street while Clarence Dietrich, of Denver, driver for th e Rohrer Baking Compand, was driving west On Main Street. TURDAY Turkeys and geese will be the prizes a t a shooting match to be held a t the Penryn F ire Company grounds th is Saturday. Shells for 12 and 16 gauge guns will be furnished on the grounds. Yule Party Held Monday With a gay holiday sp irit In the air, approximately 150 members and guests of the Lititz Woman’s Club held th e ir Christmas meeting in the General Sutte r Hotel on Monday evening. Dr.' H. K. Cooper, head of the Lancaster Cleft' P a la te Clinic, spoke on the subject, “All’s Right in the World.” He reminded th e group th a t th is season particularly, we receive what we put into the celebration. I t is the spirit with which we give th a t conveys th e tru e feeling of th e Holy season. He closed with the hope th a t “we will not merely celebrate Christmas, but keep it down deep within us, le t it do something for us, th en all will be rig h t with th e world.” Benjamin Brookmyer Ben Br’kmyer Will Observe 96th Birthday Local Man Knew Buchanan ; Recalls Burning Of Columbia Bridge Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Trout-' man entertained a t th e ir home on Sunday in honor of Mrs. Troutman’s fath e r, Benjamin Brookmyer, who will observe his 96th birthday anniversary on Monday, Dec. 20. Mr. Brookmyer was bora in 1858 on land adjacent to Wheat-land and as a boy knew the late James Buchanan intimately. He recalls taking walks with him, spending much time with the gardener, and sleeping in the mansion house. He also remembers the burning of the Columbia bridge during the Civil War when it was destroyed to prevent the Rebels from invading the North. Also the men and crying women driving th e ir cattle toward Lancaster to find safety from th e Invading army. Mr. Brookmyer distinctly remembers the funeral cortege >f the late president, the large and ornate carriages, and the people standing on th e sidewalks from his home to the cemetery. He has always been interested in the presidents, having heard Benjamin Harrison speak while visiting his brother in Goshen, Did. He also met Rutherford Hayes and heard Theodore Roosevelt speak when he was in Lancaster. Allen Pawling Trinity Yule Party On Monday The annual Christmas Party of the Sunday School of Trinity E. C. Church will be held in the church social rooms on Monday evening a t 6:30 o’clock. Eugene S. Dechert will be the master of ceremonies of the program which will consist of songs, recitations and gifts which will be presented to each member of the-Sunday School. A fe a tu re of the program will be a chalk ta lk with humorous sketches, entitled, “What the F ir Teaches Us” , by J. Allen Pawling, of Kutztown, Pa. Mr. Pawling is associate professor of Art Education a t State Teachers College in Kutztown and has been active in Sunday School work both as te a ch e r and superintendent for twenty-five years. Refreshments will be served. The committee consists of Eugene S. Dechert. Robert R. Buch and Raymond S. Reedy. Girl Scouts To Sing Carols Local troops of Girl Scouts and Brownies will to u r th e borough carolling on Christmas Eve a t 7 o’clock. Each troop will meet a t its own designated place and will visit shut-ins and invalids as well. At 8 p.m., all troops will meet in the Square for a combined carol sing, a fte r which they will go to th e Center for hot chocola te and cookies. Nullify All Boosts Made By Musser In Warwick Township A sweeping equalization of all property assessments in Lititz Borough, Warwick and Elizabeth Townships, will be made in the near future, according to an an- | j nouncement made yesterday by Miriam Metzler, chief county assessor, from h er office in the Lancaster County Court House. And — Mrs. Metzler also revealed — those recent assessment boosts In Warwick Township which caused the march o f indignant property owners on the county commissioners’ office, will i be nullified. “The trouble arose in Warwick Township when one assessor tried to do something which must come about concurrently In the entire school d istric t,” Mrs. Metzler asserted. “We are planning to call together the four assessors in the Warwick Union District arid to hold a series of conferences between them, the members of borough council in Lititz and th e Warwick Union School Board. “We realize we have a serious problem and I, personally, appreciate th e manner in which The Record-Express has stated and explained the facts regarding assessments to its readers,” Mrs. Metzler added. Announcement th a t the recent boosts in assessments will be put aside and the former assessment figure used for 19 §5 will be made ' this week in le tte rs to be mailed by the Warwick Township assessor, E a rl C. Musser, of Rothsville. Letters which Mrs. Metzler prepared for Musser read as follows: “ I was requested to notify you th a t the assessment changes made prior to the November 19th appeal day for Warwick Township are not to be used for 1955. “This recommendation came a fte r it was suggested th a t a revision of ALL Warwick Union District Assessments will pos-sobly be made in th e nea r future. “Therefore your assessment for 1955 will be . . Musser, assessor.” Mrs. Metzler also revealed th a t there is no need for a meeting ofthe protesting property owners, as a resu lt of th is action, and th a t th e ir objections will be met by th e plans for the thorough re-assessment program being planned. MRS. JACOB CONRAD DIES AFTER YEAR’S ILLNESS Mrs. Mary K. Conrad, 77, wife of tax collector Jacob G. Conrad, of Rothsville, died a t 8:30 a.m. yesterday a t the E p h ra ta Community Hospital a fte r a year’s illness. Born in Warwick Twp., she was a daughter* of th e late William and Susan Seachrist Gass and a member of the Rothsville Evangelical Congregational Church, the Ladies’ Bible Class of the church, and the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the Rothsville Fire Co. She was a resident of Rothsville for th e past 59 years. In addition to h e r husband, she is survived by these sons and daughters: Mrs. Elsie Adams, Lancaster: Susan, wife of Harold B. Brubaker, Hershey: Robe rt G. and Henry J. Conrad, and Charlotte E., wife of Charles M. I^eavb.r, rill of Rothsville; and > Robert Girvln. Wilmer G. Conrad, of Norris-town RD2. Ten grandchildren and a brother, Clinton S. Gass, Zion Home, also survive. Services will be held in Rothsville Evangelical Congregational Church a t 2 p.m. Saturday, with interment in th e Rothsville L uthe ran Cemetery. Yule Urograms At Moravian Church Listed In the morning service a t the Moravian Church, the Advent Liturgy will be prayed and the pastor’s message will be on the subject:' “ Peace With God.” The Senior Choir will sing two anthems, “Nazareth” , by Gounod, and “There Were Shepherds” , by Vincent. At 2:30 p.m., the children's Christmas program will be presented in Fellowship Hall. Songs and recitations will be presented by th e Beginners’ Department, under the direction of Mrs. B. John Losensky. A play, depicting the Christmas Story will be presented by the Primary Department, under the direction of Mrs. Children’s Christmas Party To Be Held December 24 The Children’s Christmas P a rty, sponsored by th e Lititz Fire Company, will be held on F riday, December 24. Santa will go to th e Neffsville Home Orphanage, from th e re to the Zion’s Home between 10 and 11 a.m., a fte r which he will tour th e town, re tu rn in g to th e Lititz Theatre a t 12:45 where he will greet th e kiddies. F re e movies a t 1 o’clock. During th e movie Santa will go to th e Moravian Home and from th e re to the Firehouse to await the kiddies re tu rn in g from th e movies. Santa will only be a t the firehouse- until 5 o’clock th is year. Kiddies are asked to go to the crossings to cross th e streets as th e re will be someone there to direct traffic. Kiddles are also asked to go to th e movies and a fte r th e movies follow th e crowd to the firehouse. Student Council To Sponsor Dance The Lititz High School Student Council will sponsor a semi-formal dance, to be called “White Christmas,” on December 23, from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m., a t the high school gymnasium. The price of admission is 60c per person. Included in th e price of ad-mission is an evening of music furnished by Tiny Wright and his orchestra, and a floor show presented by the students. Refreshments will be on sale. This dance is a homecoming affair, honoring al graduating seniors of 1954. Everyone, especially the seniors, is cordially invited to attend. MARRIED COUPLES PARTY The Married Couples Class, of St. P au l’s Lutheran Church, will hold its Christmas party, Saturday a t 6 p.m. In the Church Social Room.
