To give a proper opportunity to every exhibi- ter for a hearing by the judges, the committee on implements should be compoaed of a large number of members, say twelve or fifteen, who might divide themselves into sub-committees of! three, each to be specially charged with the ex¬ amination of implement of a certain class. In consequence of ihc brief time allowed for deliberation, it is feared that full justico may not be awarded to all thc meritorious cxbibiiers, and wc raust crave indulgence for any errors or omissions, as the result of ihe circumstances above named, and not of any dispoailion to overlook or undervalue implements of real merit.
