He reported having passed through live miles of wreckage thirty miles southwest of Long point, consisting of parts of the cabiu, life preservers and doors of some vessel. The dead boy was Wallace Croutliummel of Hatfield, aged fourteen years. The most serious Injured are Joseph Do Twiller, aged nineteen years, of Soudertown, who is internally Injured and may die. and John Ester of Soudertown, the motorman, who had three ribs broken. In rounding a curve, the brake failed to work, and the car made the turn so swiftly that the body of the car was snapped from its trucks and fell on its side. The prisoner was taken to the criminal courts building, where he was questioned by Assistant District Attorney Gray, and was then taken to police headquarters, where he was placed in a cell. Three of the passengers were slightly injured. The engine crashed Into a car loaded with stone on the siding and was wrecked. A relief train brought the dead and Injured to this city. In rounding a curve, the brake failed to work, and the car made the turn so swiftly that the body of the car was snapped from its trucks and fell on its side.
