Wright, Commissioner of Labor, a full member of the anthracite ooal strike commission. Mr. Darden concluded to withdraw after a conference with Mayor Harrison following publication that he had been arrested in 1805 in Portland, Ore., on charges of forgery and embezzlement. The Colombian government has shown a disposition to ask a stiff price for the right of way, which the United States must procure before the construction of the canal can be renewed. The revolutionary party, on the other band, is determined, if it succeeds, that the rights of the Panama Canal company shall be abrogated and the United States compelled to deal direct with the revolutionary government both for the canal rights and for the route. Roston, Oct. 25.—A new steamer service between this port and Rristol, England, has been perfected, and fortnightly sailings will begin next month. The steamers will berth nt the Hoosuc docks. The initial sailing oil, the new line will be mnde about Nov. 10, when the Hritlsh steamer Imaum will tnkc her departure.
