The cable repair steamer (trappier, belonging to the West India and Panama Telegraph company of I.ondon, was lost with all hands during the eruption of Mont Peiee at St. I'lerre, Martinique. John Turner was one of the guards of the Southern railway. Lee Turner was running a saloon at La Follette, Tenn. The men were cousins, but old enemies.
