Everything is now in readiness for the gathering, bo far as the preliminaries are concerned, nnd the indications are that the session will be short and business-like. Chairman Kccdcr says that the convention will not be up to the usual size of Kcpuldican conventions, but that it will be enthusiastic. The headquarters of the State committee have been cs tablished at the Lochiel, as usual. Candidates Potter and Karris will also have headquarters at this hotel. Neither Senators Quay nor Penrose will attend the convention.
