Shortly after midnight a force of boys employed in the butt welding department joined the strikers. This necessitated the closing down of some furnaces. The blast furnace, seamless tube works, National Galvanizing Works and Firth Sterling Projectile .Works are the only iron mills oper ating in their entirety.
