Cincinnati, July IS.—The report that fifty pei sons were killed at Princeton in Bunday's storm Is untrue. A reporter who drove to the village state* that there was no cue injured. The town waa completely wiped out. A large brick school house was lifted into the air and the root was carried 900 yards and lodged in the top of a big tree. Batenhovef and child were brntally murdered on the farm of John Oilman, near Coquille City, and buried in a gnloh near the Bouse, where they were found later. The husband was working up the river, and returned home on Saturday. They ware tenants of Oilman, who wanted them to leave, which they refused to do until their lease expired! After the murder of the wife and child Oilman laid in wait on Saturday and attacked Eatenhover on his approach to his home, but he escaped and gave the alarm, which resulted in the disoofery of the remains of the wife and child and a ready made grave for, the husband. Mrs. Kilrain and Mrs. Mitchell have left Baltimore for this city. A letter has been reoeived at Kilrain's house, addressed to Jake, from Henry Hudson, of Chicago, which says be won (1,000 on the fight by overhearing Charlie Mitchell in New Orleans tell a man about 55 years old with a mustache and an English accent to bet all he had on Sullivan, as Kilrain'i defeat was a foregone conclusion. Scranton, Pa., July 16.—A disreputable woman named Mary Jane Lane alleges that she was criminally assaulted by fifteen men at a place called Dickson City, about five miles north of Scranton. Bhe states that she was on her way to Scranton when assaulted by one Anthony Ducy, who dragged her into the bushes near the river, where she was assaulted by fourteen of his companions, one of whom flourished a revolver and threatened to kill her. She says that sUe was kept in the woods all night by her assailants, and that one time she tried to escape through the river and was dragged hack. Five men, named Oaniel Rafferty, Anthony Ducy, Charles McConnell, Albert G. J filth and Lincoln Lloyd, have been arrested for the crime and placed in the county prison. He also stated that he received 110,000 for voting for the Thirtyfourth street franchise, and gave evidence concerning other franchises for which he voted. His testimony varied somewhat from that given by him in the other boodle trials. Some of the variations, Fullgraff said, were due to errors of the stenographers. He said he was in sympathy with the defendant, and had dropped a note at Mo- Quade's feot Saturday while passing through the dining room of the hotel, in which he expressed the hope that McQuade would be aoquitted. The Fortuna had a good lead, and, under lower sails and working topsails, soon sped away over the course at a lively rate, the Mayflower being a good second. The Merlin, one of Burgess' latest designs, showed remarkable speed, and soon after crossing the line passed the Sea Fox and Mayflower, and closely followed the Fortuna. Scranton, Pa., July 16.—A disreputable woman named Mary Jane Lane alleges that she was criminally assaulted by fifteen men at a place called Dickson City, about five miles north of Scranton. Bhe states that she was on her way to Scranton when assaulted by one Anthony Ducy, who dragged her into the bushes near the river, where she was assaulted by fourteen of his companions, one of whom flourished a revolver and threatened to kill her. She says that sUe was kept in the woods all night by her assailants, and that one time she tried to escape through the river and was dragged hack. Five men, named Oaniel Rafferty, Anthony Ducy, Charles McConnell, Albert G. J filth and Lincoln Lloyd, have been arrested for the crime and placed in the county prison.
