Nxw BiDroRD, Haas., Nov. 4.—On Aug. 14, 1885, three boys found in tlwwater, near the beach, on the loath side of Crow island, in this harbor, the dead body of an infant. August Spies sold to a United Press reporter that the 20,000 Socialists votes were an answer to the verdict against the Anarchists. "You may say," he said, "that the same answer was given in New York as in Chioago. It was a class vote; it was a Socialistic vote! It was a vote of the people who work for a living, against those who live by theft. The working people are beginning to see that the only remedy they have Is by the ballot"- Anarchist Parsons, whan asked what ha thought of the labor vote, said: "This vote was in response to the remarks of those who have been saying that labor had no grievance; that all their troubles were imaginary. It was also In response to those who said that the men who were condemned to death were nothing but red-handed murderers and brutes.
