Sept. 5.— John Lynch waa arrest* I by an officer Thursday, lasat week, while helplessly drunk at his house on Hamilton avenue. He was conveyed to Jail In a handcart, and sentenoed by Justine Bergen to twenty-nine days imprisonment on the following morning. When in his oall in jail he was found to be very sick and weak, and Couety Physician Shepherd was sent tor. Tha ddctor diagnosed the case as one of delirium tremens, but as Lynch waa worsen the following day, be waa conveyed to the• city hospital. On Sunday Lynch died, and Coroner Hesse ordered an autopsy. Which was made by Dr. Whitney, one of the surgeons of the hospital.
