St. Petersburg, Dec. 27. - Emperor Nicholas and Count Wltte. received a report from General Doubassoff, governor general of Moscow, saying that the revolt there had failed, that the military had the situation iu hand and that whatever defection may have existed among the troops had been overcome by attacks on them with bombs and revolvers to which they had been subjected from the windows and roofs of bouses and which had so enraged them that they could hardly be restrained.Washington, Dec. 27.—Speaker Caunou was one of the callers at the White House, but was obliged to leave without seeing the president, as the latter had gone to the country for a horseback ride. It was told by one of the boarders and also by Mrs. Schlalkus, widow of the murdered mun, that they were present after supper, when Kenrozcky was asking Schlaikus to go out with him, and they left the house just prior to the time Schlaikus and Kernozcky left. Kernozcky Is in the county jail charged with the crime and a strong circumstantial case is being worked up against him by the county detective. Circumstantial evidence of his connection with the crime is strong against one of these suspects. and all that is now required is his. identification by Miss Wynn. Both these men will be brought before her when, in the opinion of her physician, she }s sufficiently strong enough to bear the shock. One of the men resides close to the scene of the assault and was seen at the point where the young woman was attacked on the night In question, as was also the aecond suspect. The police have hid them under surveilance since suspicion rested upon them and "they can be taken Into custody just as soon as circumstances warrant. It was told by one of the boarders and also by Mrs. Schlalkus, widow of the murdered mun, that they were present after supper, when Kenrozcky was asking Schlaikus to go out with him, and they left the house just prior to the time Schlaikus and Kernozcky left. Kernozcky Is in the county jail charged with the crime and a strong circumstantial case is being worked up against him by the county detective. Circumstantial evidence of his connection with the crime is strong against one of these suspects. and all that is now required is his. identification by Miss Wynn. Both these men will be brought before her when, in the opinion of her physician, she }s sufficiently strong enough to bear the shock.
