Colorado Springs, Colo., ."Juno 11.— Acting under the orders of Adjutant General Sherman Rell of the state national guard, a special train was made up shortly after noon in the Short Line yards at Victor for the deportation of seventy-six union miners. The train was composed of a combination baggage car and two day coaches. Almost immediately the work of loading the men began. They were marched to the train between heavy lines of military and deputies. Fully 1*000 persons had collected to see the men placed on board. Among the spectators were wives and sisters, fathers and mothers of the deported men, and the scenes were affecting. Little Hock, Ark., June 11.—A special to the Gazette from I'ine Bluff says the steady rise of the Arkansas river has resulted In flooding nearly all of Jefferson county adjoining the river and for some distance inland. Thousands of acres of growing crops are under water, in some instances being entirely washed up. The loss to the farmers in this section cannot be estimated, but will reach thousands of dollars. Colorado Springs, Colo., ."Juno 11.— Acting under the orders of Adjutant General Sherman Rell of the state national guard, a special train was made up shortly after noon in the Short Line yards at Victor for the deportation of seventy-six union miners. The train was composed of a combination baggage car and two day coaches. Almost immediately the work of loading the men began. Little Hock, Ark., June 11.—A special to the Gazette from I'ine Bluff says the steady rise of the Arkansas river has resulted In flooding nearly all of Jefferson county adjoining the river and for some distance inland.
