People's Store An Unusual Four Warships at Tangier—A Cabinet Conference—France to Aid. Birmingham, Eng., June 1.—The Fr,et today quotes a high diplomatic authority as stating that the agreement which was concluded last autumn between Germany and Russia has lapsed since the successes of the Japanese navy, as the main purposes of the agreement depended upon the maintenance by Russia of an effective fleet in the far east. The same authority says that negotiations for the remodeling of the agreement aro now in progress. It has been determined that the United States, regardless of the action of other powers, will assume tho responsibility of pursuing Raisull into the mountains, should he make good his threat, and will capture and execute him summarily. Snell, a wealthy holder of much property on the west side of Chicago, was murdered at his home In Washington boulevard on the night of Feb. 8, 188K, and robbery was declared to be the motive. After many nrrests the police hit upon the Willie Tascott clew. Tascott had been an elevator boy at the Palmer House. It was represented that he had been employed by day and committed robberies at night. Heavy rewards—one for $10,000, which was subsequently raised to $20,000—were offered for Tascott, and for two or three yet "9 Tascott was turning up, dead or alive, In all parts of North and South America. Snell, a wealthy holder of much property on the west side of Chicago, was murdered at his home In Washington boulevard on the night of Feb. 8, 188K, and robbery was declared to be the motive. After many nrrests the police hit upon the Willie Tascott clew. Tascott had been an elevator boy at the Palmer House. It was represented that he had been employed by day and committed robberies at night. Heavy rewards—one for $10,000, which was subsequently raised to $20,000—were offered for Tascott, and for two or three yet "9 Tascott was turning up, dead or alive, In all parts of North and South America.
