On the way up the coast a heavy storm was encountered, and at 11:30 o'clock at nlglit the deck house aft was swept away by one of the big seas. The barge managed to signal the tug, and the tow was slowed down, but the seas broke over the stern of the little vessel, filling her very quickly, so that she went down stern foremost. Dick's health broke down recently .and, in the hope of recuperating, accepted the pastorate of the United Evangelical church, at Wellersville, York county, Pa., and the family was to join him there soon. It is feared the shock may prove serious to the enfeebled father.
