Bonllla swept the entire republic and tinally captured the man who Sierra said should be the president in the capital of the republic without losing as many as a dozen lives among his forces, numbering about 10,000 men, in a revolution lasting about two months. Y., April 21.—Eight persons are dead and ten Injured, three of them seriously, as the result of a collision between a passenger train and a freight train on the Erie railroad near Bed House, N. Y., six miles west of here. In his petition Mr. Yanderbllt asserts that he desires to marry again and ndds that he Intends to celebrate the marriage either In France or England. He stutes also that since the decree was granted In March, 1805, he has so conducted himself as to entitle lilm to have the judgment modified. The wrecked passenger train was known us No. 4, running from Chicago to New York, and wan made up of engine No. 545, lb fhnrge of Engineer Samuel Cook and Fireman Fred Hell of Meadvllle. It was derailed by striking a freight train which was entering a siding at Ued House. The wreck at once took Are, and the combination car, two day coaches and two sleepers, together with severul freight curs, were consumed. Just preceding and just following the announcement that this legal step had been taken by Mr. Vanderbllt came rumors from Paris that Mr. Vanderbllt may marry a Mrs. Ingraliam. No substantiation of the reports can be obtained. The only Mrs. Ingrnham known to be In Parts is the wife of Judge George L. Ingraham of the supreme court, who has been there some time with her daughter, who was recently Introduced In society. BIra, lurrnlinn Named. Tetrosino showed th? photograph of the murdered man to two of the counterfeiters, who -declared that\\they never had seen him. When he showed the photograph to De Prlemo he exclaimed that it was n picture of his brother-in-law, whom, he said, he had seen two days before he was murdered. Smith, who were Indicted by the grand jury for accepting bribes In connection with the baking powder legislation, have given bonds In (3.000 each for appeut-- ance before the United States circuit court In Jefferson City In the July term. They each say they are innocent of the charges. Only one point remains to be established. That is the identity of the man who drew the knife across Benedetto's throat and the names of the men who held the man while he was being disposed of bo effectually that all danger of his disclosing the secrets of the baud waB put at an end. That is the missing link which Inspector McClusky and Assistant District Attorney Garvan, aided by the best detectives in the service of the city, are now trying to forge. They are satisfied that they know who these men nre, and their efforts now will be to weave so strong a web of evidence that no amount of perjury and false alibis will serve to Influence a jury uguiust returning u verdict of guilty. Police Say They Know Murderer. Clinton, Mass., April 21.—Last night, Walter Smith, aged 17, lay In wait for liis father outside of a saloon, and, with an axe, inflicted injuries on his head that resulted in death. New York, April 21.—The North German Lloyd steamship Kaiser Wilhelm II., the longest and swiftest vessel In the world, on its maiden voyage from Bremen to New York, was sighted 40 miles eaBt of Nantucket lightship at 4.40 this morning, and is due at her Hoboken dock about 7 o'clock this evening. A startling incident, is narrated by John Oliver, of Philadelphia, as follows: "I was in an awful condition. My skin was almost yellow, eyes sunken, tongue coated, pain continually in back and sides, no appetite, growing weaker day by day. Three physicians had given me up. Bonllla swept the entire republic and tinally captured the man who Sierra said should be the president in the capital of the republic without losing as many as a dozen lives among his forces, numbering about 10,000 men, in a revolution lasting about two months. That popular sentiment was favorable to Bonllla is evidenced by the wholesale desertion, of the government troops who Joined hlB army. Y., April 21.—Eight persons are dead and ten Injured, three of them seriously, as the result of a collision between a passenger train and a freight train on the Erie railroad near Bed House, N. Y., six miles west of here. In his petition Mr. Yanderbllt asserts that he desires to marry again and ndds that he Intends to celebrate the marriage either In France or England. He stutes also that since the decree was granted In March, 1805, he has so conducted himself as to entitle lilm to have the judgment modified. The wrecked passenger train was known us No. 4, running from Chicago to New York, and wan made up of engine No. 545, lb fhnrge of Engineer Samuel Cook and Fireman Fred Hell of Meadvllle. It was derailed by striking a freight train which was entering a siding at Ued House. The wreck at once took Are, and the combination car, two day coaches and two sleepers, together with severul freight curs, were consumed. Just preceding and just following the announcement that this legal step had been taken by Mr. Vanderbllt came rumors from Paris that Mr. Vanderbllt may marry a Mrs. Ingraliam. No substantiation of the reports can be obtained. The only Mrs. Ingrnham known to be In Parts is the wife of Judge George L. Ingraham of the supreme court, who has been there some time with her daughter, who was recently Introduced In society. BIra, lurrnlinn Named. Tetrosino showed th? photograph of the murdered man to two of the counterfeiters, who -declared that\\they never had seen him. When he showed the photograph to De Prlemo he exclaimed that it was n picture of his brother-in-law, whom, he said, he had seen two days before he was murdered. Smith, who were Indicted by the grand jury for accepting bribes In connection with the baking powder legislation, have given bonds In (3.000 each for appeut-- ance before the United States circuit court In Jefferson City In the July term. They each say they are innocent of the charges. Only one point remains to be established. That is the identity of the man who drew the knife across Benedetto's throat and the names of the men who held the man while he was being disposed of bo effectually that all danger of his disclosing the secrets of the baud waB put at an end. That is the missing link which Inspector McClusky and Assistant District Attorney Garvan, aided by the best detectives in the service of the city, are now trying to forge. They are satisfied that they know who these men nre, and their efforts now will be to weave so strong a web of evidence that no amount of perjury and false alibis will serve to Influence a jury uguiust returning u verdict of guilty. Police Say They Know Murderer. Clinton, Mass., April 21.—Last night, Walter Smith, aged 17, lay In wait for liis father outside of a saloon, and, with an axe, inflicted injuries on his head that resulted in death. New York, April 21.—The North German Lloyd steamship Kaiser Wilhelm II., the longest and swiftest vessel In the world, on its maiden voyage from Bremen to New York, was sighted 40 miles eaBt of Nantucket lightship at 4.40 this morning, and is due at her Hoboken dock about 7 o'clock this evening. A startling incident, is narrated by John Oliver, of Philadelphia, as follows: "I was in an awful condition.
