Hall's Catarrh Cure Is the only positive cure known to the medical fraternity. The proprietors have so much faith in its curative powers that they offer One Hundred Dollars for any case that it falls to cure. Send for list of testimonials.1100 Reward *100. MYSTERIOUS FLOOD OF WATER. fivansffiros Grace's 8tore Cellar Flooded With Wa- ter, Presumably From Old Spring. The whole cellar floor of the store of T. A. Grace, on South Main street. Is under six inches of water. It Is not known where the water Is coming from, as no leakage can be found In any pipes in the vicinity. It is thought that the flow Is caused by the bursting of the old spring which was situated at the foot of Liberty Hill. Some years ago this was the main source of water supply for that vicinity, but of late years it has been covered over and nearly forgotten. It Is quite probable that the work on the Cannon Ball road in that vicinity has stirred up the old forces of Nature and that the forgotten spring is again looking for recognition. Mr. Grace removed his goods from the cellar in time to save most of them. FOR * * * GROCERIES "I know I have not talked about the coal strike report," said Senator Hanna, "and the reason Is thst I ought not to talk very much about It. We who are associated with the connctl of condilation of the Civic federation endeavored to prevent this strike by bringing the representatives of the operators and miners together. We endeavored to settle It after It was began by using onr good offices to establish relations between the operators and miners. We failed in that because It was impossible to get both sides to consent to arbitration. I have nothing to say at this time as to the responsibility for the continuance of the strike. "I will say that I am greatly pleased with the work of the coal strike commission. It has been very well done. It is a big thing. It cannot be belittled on its bearing on the future. 1 hope that the report will lead to the adoption of a plan for permanent peace in the coal regions. Credit is due the president, to J. P. Morgan and to others who brought about the final yielding of the operators and miners on a common basis." Work Well Done. "A few years ago the only Idea a labor loader had about getting concessions from the employer was to strlks and the employer to retaliate by a lockout. Both aides wore undoubtedly to blame. But reason la gradually emerging from the fog of disagreement and distrust. I think what has happened In the way of conciliation In the last year will have a tendency to make employen of labor feel that there is a better way out than ignoring the men and defying them to do their worst.
