Morgan Agrees to End Debate Chicago, March 12.—Firemen fought their way through smoke-filled halls of the Yorkshire hotel, on Wabash avenue, at 2.30 this morning and dragged a score of unconscious guests from their rooms to safety. A panic followed the discovery of flames and the cries of Are. Scores of guests clad only In their night clothes ran through the hallways to elevators and downstairs, while others became unconscious before they could reach the stairways. Memphis, March 12.—Judge Brown, of Memphis, who was killed by White Caps Monday afternoon near Wynne, Ark., was working up a case against tho White Caps and set a trap for their capture. Brown had secreted himself in a negro cabin, while his assailants were in an outhouse. The first shot fired through the window of the cabin killed Brown and the White Caps fled. Oibbs and his wife were found by two young boys lying dead in their own blood in the main street of St. Paris, a village west of L'rbana. (Sibbs started out with the wife of Jim Sheliee, a saloon keeper. While Oibbs and his companion were passing by the village cliureli Mrs. Glbbs came upon thcin. Glhbs drew ids revolver and shot his wife, killing her instantly, and it is now believed that he tried to kill the Shehee woman. Y„ March 12.—William Jackson, aged 15, died last night at the Olean general hospital from burns received in the oil explosion on Monday night. Two more will probably die. Havana, March 12.—The senate by a vote of 10 to 5 has ratified the reciprocity treaty with the United States. The treaty was thus ratified by exactly two-thirds of the vote of the senate.
