But her friends went all out to rub it in: first, with an ad in the Herald showing her in the bathtub; then, with gift of the bearded friend here in the photo. Note the sign: “An old goat for an old goat.” Taffy, as he is named, was left anonymously at the Miller residence in Bell Acres. Becky never did discover who tied the goat on her porch—complete with ribbons and balloons attached to the horns. She has since found a home for Taffy. One uneasy thought remains, however: With friends like hers, she wonders what they’ll cook up when she turns 50. . (Photo by Mike May) Voters return to polls Tuesday Many local races decided in primary; others still to he won By Mike May Quaker Valley voters will go to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 5, to cast their ballots in municipal, school board, coun- Ity and state elections. In addition, the ballots will contain seven judicial retention questions and two proposed amend-ments to the commonwealth’s constitution. Polls will open at 7 a.m. and will close at 8 p.m. ALEPPO Aleppo voters will cast their ballots in the Municipal Building, on Deer Run Road. The only real contest is for township commissioner. Republicans Louis Trapizona and Pete F. Russo, both incumbents, and Frederick G. Kohun are pitted against Democrats Tom Moore, Gerald Turczyn, and Andrew Petroff. Hazel Jones is running unopposed for treasurer, as is Louis Trapizona for constable. BELL ACRES Bell Acres voters vote in Big Sewickley Creek Firehall, on Big Sewickley Road. A discussion of the Bell Acres council and mayoral race can be found on page two of today’s Herald. William John Russo, a Republican, is running unopposed for constable; Thelma Kulbacki is running unoppposed for tax collector. EDGEWORTH Edgeworth Elementary School is the site for voting for residents of both districts there. The only contest is for the post of tax collector. Republican E. Carol B. Quaker Valley voters will go to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 5, to cast their ballots in municipal, school board, coun-
Ity and state elections. In addition, the ballots will contain seven judicial retention questions and two proposed amend-ments to the commonwealth’s constitution.
