CAROLINE S. ALLISON. Word was received here this week, of the death at the Markleton Sanitarium, of Mrs. Garoline Snow- den Allison, widow of Dr. James Allison, for many years editor of the Presbyterian Banner. The deceased was over eighty years of age, Some time since, while on a visit to the Park Place Hotel, she fell and fractured her hip. She was sent to the sanitarium but never rallied from the shock. S Nice Pice of Work. Mr. S. T. McDonald, the painter, has made a very pretty job of ths lettering on the bass drum of the Gitizens' Band of Sewickley. The lettering is fine, but the large eagle perched on the rocks with the folds of Old Glory waving about him is better. Mr. McDonald deserves credit for this piece of work. A . !>i r *i m^m
